Congratulations Stamford American Class of 2024

We congratulate our Class of 2024, comprising 19 graduates, as they reach another milestone and embrace the exciting new chapter of university matriculation.

True to our Guiding Principles of offering a personalized learning journey and supporting multiple career pathways for all students, we are pleased that 58% of our 2024 graduating cohort completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, of which 40% were awarded the IB Bilingual Diploma. Ultimately, the entire cohort received 84 offers from 55 universities worldwide, averaging four offers per student. We are proud to holistically elevate our students’ potential to meet their ambitions and celebrate those who meet or exceed their expectations!

Our IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) cohort attained an average score of 31.5, above the world average of 30.3. Although our class of 2024 IBDP students remained a small group, their individual efforts shone through their results. Very pleasingly, forty percent (40%) of them were awarded the IB Bilingual Diploma, significantly higher than the global mean of 26.8%.

84 Offers Received from 55 Universities

Stamford’s graduating cohort of 19 students received 84 offers from 55 universities worldwide, including the prestigious King’s College London, Imperial College London, University College London, The University of Edinburgh, Purdue University, University of California, Irvine, The University of Sydney, The University of Melbourne, The University of British Columbia, University of Toronto, The University of Hong Kong, and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

“I offer my heartfelt congratulations to the Class of 2024 for being admitted to their respective best-fit universities, and applaud their success in completing the highly rigorous 2-year IB Diploma Program, displaying our values of resilience and integrity! As a school, we are non-selective in determining eligibility for our three graduating pathways, and we do not limit diploma options to boost IB ranking scores. I am, therefore, proud to see the accomplishments of our students today. It is a testament to the success of our educational philosophy and the collective great effort from our secondary faculty, including our University Guidance Counselor, IBDP Coordinator, and IB expert faculty with an average of 15 years of experience under the leadership of our Secondary Principal.”

I applaud them as they pursue their aspirations in Arts, Architectural Studies, Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Finance, Global Health and Development, Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering, Occupational Therapy, Psychology and Social Science.”
