Stamford Hong Kong is proud to continue the tradition of academic excellence of our sister school Stamford Singapore nurtures each student to follow their path through multiple graduating diploma options, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.

In 2021, graduates achieved greatness in 18 countries at esteemed universities such as Imperial College University London, Boston University, New York University, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Imperial College London, University of Amsterdam, and National University of Singapore Nanyang Technological University.

Stamford Singapore and Stamford Hong Kong are both non-selective IB schools that believe in supporting all children who wish to challenge the IB Diploma Programme.

In 2021, 100% of students at Stamford Singapore passed the IBDP exams and achieved an average of 35 points allowing them access to their best-fit university.

24% of students scored 40+ allowing them to access top-tier Ivy League Universities globally.

Stamford Hong Kong will have its first graduates in June of 2023.  It’s an exciting time for Stamford’s first Grade 12 graduating cohort as early university acceptances for our students appear in their inboxes.

Teresa Foard

Secondary School Principal (Grade 6 to 12)

Ms. Teresa Foard joined Stamford in 2020 from the International School, Ho Chi Minh City (ISHCMC) in Vietnam, a Cognita school, where she served as the Assistant Principal and IB DP Coordinator. Originally from Australia, she has held leadership positions in Australia, England, Vietnam, Lao PDR and Germany.

Michael Galligan

Dean of Academics and IBDP Coordinator, BS, MA

Mike is an experienced academic program developer, having built and managed programs in a range of areas. After teaching physical education a few years, he became a schoolwide program director, International Baccalaureate coordinator, academic coordinator and department head in multiple schools. Thoughtful and systematic, Mike is particularly passionate about curriculum development, excellence in teaching and helping students become the best they can be. Since 2000, he has worked in schools in Uzbekistan, Bangladesh, Thailand, Singapore and Hong Kong. Mike is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree at the University of Hong Kong with an emphasis on information technology studies.

An Inspiring World of Education

For almost 20 years Cognita has been an inspiring world of education globally. With especially close ties to all of our Asia schools, we are extremely proud to announce that the Cognita Asia International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) exam results for our May 2021 cohort are the highest ever.

IB Diploma students achieved a superb average point score of 36 and boasted nearly 100% (99.2 %) pass rate. Our regional results compare to this year’s worldwide average score of 33 points and an 89% pass rate based on nearly 170,000 IBDP students from around the world who received their recent results
