Justine Tizzard

Justine is originally from London, UK but grew up in Barcelona, Spain. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from the Queen Mary University of London and a Masters in Research in Catalysis (Chemical Engineering) from Imperial College London. Her research project consisted of Cobalt catalyzed C-H activation, a technique used for renewable resources with non-hazardous by-products.

Before joining Stamford, Justine taught students in the U.K., Malaysia, China, and Hong Kong. She worked at the ASEAN STEM World Summer School program at the University of Nottingham (Malaysia) with students worldwide with a passion for science.

Her interest in robotics was sparked during the Youth Mobile Festival at the Mobile World Congress Shanghai while using Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and MicroBit to build a range of prototypes from light motion robots to a wristwatch.

She has prepared students for various STEM competitions such as the First-ever Digital International STEM Student Forum in Hong Kong, The Greater Bay Area STEM Excellence Award, and the Hong Kong Schools STEM Competition.

Justine says, “I enjoy teaching and making students fall in love with STEM as much as I am. When I see them progress and become young independent scientists capable of doing so many great things, it is very inspiring. Helping students learn to develop transferable skills for the rest of their life is something that motivates me to become a better educator myself. I am proud to be educating the next generation of scientists, creating critical thinkers, and enabling the next generation of innovators.”
