Julia was born and raised in Hong Kong in a multicultural family thus developing her bilingual language skills in English and Chinese. She received her Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology at The University of Hong Kong with a particular interest in pursuing Educational Psychology. This led her to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Education through the University of Sunderland in 2018. Prior to joining Stamford, Julia has taught at another international school in Hong Kong for three years and is experienced in Kindergarten through Elementary years.

Julia says, “I love fostering and nurturing curiosity in children. They are by nature incredibly inquisitive and boldly imaginative and it is most rewarding when their faces light up because they are excited by their own learning and the new connections that they have made. I remind myself daily that my role as a teacher is not to impart knowledge but to guide, challenge and inspire discussion and to learn alongside students.”
