Startup Bootcamp

Opportunity of a Lifetime!

This July, The Spike Lab in collaboration with Stamford American School Hong Kong, is hosting a 1-week start-up boot camp. This one-week immersive experience will give your child skills that last a lifetime as they become entrepreneurs for a week beginning with developing a design and finishing with a pitch to local professionals.

Working in small teams, children will develop critical thinking, teamwork and presentation skills. Stamford and The Spike lab are both passionate about helping children tap into their passions and fostering innovative thinking.

Only 20 students will be chosen for this experience of a lifetime. Students will be selected based on a short written essay and brief phone interview to demonstrate that they have the skills and passion it takes to get the most out of this once in a lifetime experience.

Day 1 Design Thinking: Students come up with an innovative idea using Stanford d.School’s Design Framework as a guide.

Day 2 Lean Innovation: Students follow the same framework as the leading Silicon Valley startups to develop their ideas and assess their impact.

Day 3 Prototyping and testing: Students build low fidelity and high-fidelity prototype of increasing resolution.
