The Role of Reading and Writing in the Digital Age
As parents, we are always eager to understand how to better support our children at home, not only in their development but also in their education. To answer this question, Stamford is delighted to host international literacy consultant and director of LitLIfe International, Mr. Vincent Ventura, to help parents in understanding how to encourage reading and writing in the 21st Century. Vincent works with teachers, parents and students worldwide to empower and excite them about the wonderful world of literacy.
This FREE information session for parents will provide you with simple strategies and tips to help bridge the gap between school and home to help you to better work with your child to develop their literacy skills. All are welcome but this session is aimed at parents of children in elementary school. The workshop will last for 1.5 hours and followed by an Q&A session, light refreshments will be provided.

Mr. Vincent Ventura is an international literacy consultant and the director of LitLife International. Vincent provides professional development in literacy throughout the world. When working in schools, he focuses on help creating learning environments where students are independent and empowered. Vincent works with administrators, teachers, parents and students to hear their voice, and use their voice to continue creating positive change in the world. Based out of Monterrey, Mexico, Vincent acts as consultant for schools throughout the world, including such countries as: Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Curaçao, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru and Suriname. More recently, he has expanded his reach to Austria, Côte D’Ivoire, Hong Kong, Kuwait and Malaysia.
