ENROLLMENT REQUIREMENTS
The following must be completed in order for your child to begin school. Please submit /complete the following before the first day of school if you have not done so.
• Visa – If your child is not a Permanent Resident of Hong Kong, a valid long-term Hong Kong Visa must be obtained and presented to the school before your child starts school.
• All students must be living with at least one parent who is in full-time residence in Hong Kong. If parents are not living with their child full-time in Hong Kong, a blood-related guardian with Hong Kong residency must be appointed. If a guardian is appointed, Guardianship Form A and B must be completed and signed.

SchoolsBuddy is an integrated mobile and web-based platform that will support our community in registering for conferences, CCAs, camps and trips. It supports a personal events calendar that displays all bookings and a digital wallet to manage payments, refunds and credits and track payment receipts with ease.

COURSE SELECTIONS
PRE-PRIMARY TO GRADE 8 – Daily Modern Language Preference
We offer students the option to learn Mandarin (or more commonly known as Putonghua using simplified characters) or Spanish daily. You may only choose one option. For example, if Spanish is chosen, the student will not have any Chinese lessons. Please complete this form online as soon as possible: https://form.jotform.com/saishk/foreign_language_lesson_pref
**Once the daily modern language lesson is confirmed (either Mandarin or Spanish), changes cannot be made within the same academic year.
GRADE 9 TO 10 – Course Selection Preference
While most courses for grade 9 and 10 are pre-set for you, you do have some preferences to indicate for three subjects: second language, mathematics and the arts (G10 only). The preferences you indicate below will be used together with conversations and documentation (past school records) to help build your schedule. Student attendance/ dismissal arrangement – Stamford Direct
For safeguarding purposes, we request all parents to inform the School Office of any change in student attendance/ dismissal arrangement (such as sick leave, early pick-up, changing bus arrangement) before 7:45 am. CAMPUS SECURITY
At Stamford, we take security very seriously and want to ensure that all parents/guardians/helpers, as well as students and staff, have the proper identification needed to enter the campus.
Parents, guardians, helpers and all students must have photo Security ID Cards. However, do take note that each family (excluding students) is entitled to 3 Photo Security ID cards. Click here for more information.
How to Apply
For Family Security ID Cards: Please upload the adult’s passport-size photo onto the form as soon as possible. Apply here

August joiners: to receive your card early in the new school year, please submit this by June 30 or you may wait for student photo taking after school resumes, but note that the card may not arrive until later in semester 1.
Photo Requirements:
– One standard passport-size photo in high-resolution jpeg is required.
– Students must wear Stamford school uniform in the photo.
– The suggested background is blue.
– The student’s head and shoulder should be shown.
– The student must be centered, and the image needs to be clear.
Permanent Family Security ID Cards will be distributed to the student when it is ready after receipt of photo(s). Permanent Family Security ID Cards will have individual photos printed on the cards.
Temporary Student ID Card & Family Security ID Cards
– Will be distributed on the first day of school.
– Temporary cards do not have individual photos printed on the cards.
GETTING TO AND FROM SCHOOL
School Bus Registration
Our school bus service is provided by Castle Brothers Ltd. There are no parking spaces on campus and we expect traffic congestion during peak hours. We therefore strongly encourage families to arrive at school either by using our school bus service or public transportation. Please register for our school bus service online. Online registration, bus route & fees are available below. To allow for route planning, please allow approximately two weeks for processing.

Public Car Park
There are no parking spaces on campus. There are a limited number of public car parks and metered parking spaces in the area. Please review our complete School Pick Up/ Drop-Off Policy here.
Stamford White Cards
The School issues a very limited number of white cards at the beginning of each semester to facilitate private vehicles’ morning drop off while ensuring smooth traffic in the neighborhood. Only white card holders are allowed to drop off students at a designated area between 7:25 am – 7:40 am. The white card does not allow its holder to park in front of the school for pick up during dismissal time. SCHOOL UNIFORM
The personal appearance of Stamford students should reflect respect for the school and the international community so that not to distract from their learning. Stamford is a place of work and study, and therefore, appropriate dress is neat, clean, modest and in good repair.
All students are expected to wear full school uniform at all times including online learning, on field trips and on the school buses. Please ensure that all items belonging to your child are clearly labeled with your child’s name, such as hats, uniforms, backpacks, water bottles, etc. You may embroider or personalize your child’s hat to help them easily identify their belongings.
As the temperature changes, students may wear the winter uniform when they see fit. Students are expected to wear full school uniforms at all times, so if wearing winter trousers, please also wear the winter polo shirt.
Students should come to school in their PE uniform on their PE lesson days. In Grades 6-12 they should bring their regular uniform in their bags on PE days. Students will have time to shower and change after PE class.

Our school uniform is supplied by Aston Wilson Limited. Uniforms can be purchased online for pick-up or delivery or via post. Families may also visit the store in person. Details can be found on MyStamford here.

SCHOOL LUNCHES
MEALS AND CAFE
Students will be required to pack a healthy snack to be eaten in school. They may also choose to pack their own lunch or order/purchase lunch from our Food Service Provider, Chartwells. Chartwells is a leading catering provider to schools and universities around the world. Its mission aligns with Stamford’s Food Philosophy: “Healthy Food, Healthy Kids and a Healthy Planet.”
Please note the following for school lunch arrangements:
• PP – G3: Parents must choose the meal for their child and pre-pay in advance before the ordering deadline via the Chartwells by HKT App>, using the unique login information shared. The chosen meals will be set out for the during lunchtime.
• G4 – G12:
Option 1: Students can choose to pre-pay their meals via the Chartwells by HKT App>. They will be given lunch cards for them to select meals at the canteen.
Option 2: Students can choose to pay with an Octopus card daily at the canteen counter.
• G5 – G12: Noodle Bar serving a daily soup noodle option. Payment by Octopus card at counter.
• Lion Cafe for G6 – G12: Secondary students can purchase snacks and drinks at the Lion Cafe at designated times.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES (CCA)
Stamford offers a variety of after-school and team activities from 3:00 – 5:00pm, as part of our CCA Program to enhance students’ experience and to allow time to explore interests in a structured way. CCAs run three times a year, to enable students to maximize the breadth of activities offered. Registration information for each term will be shared with families. Mid-year joiners can contact their Admissions Manager for support. CCA information is available on MyStamford.
Registration for CCA will take place on SchoolsBuddy App. Further information will be shared in our communication. Stay tuned.
CCA TRANSPORT
CCA buses will drop students off at limited central points and taking the CCA bus will incur an additional cost. Parents will receive CCA bus pricing at time of CCA enrollment.

DIRECT DEBIT PAYMENT PLAN
If you are interested in paying for your child’s tuition monthly via Direct Debit, please contact your Admissions Manager for the Direct Debit Authorization Form. Please note that setting up the Direct Debit with your bank may take 6-8 weeks, so we recommend you start this process as soon as possible.
PARENT SCHOOL ASSOCIATION (PSA)
Stamford’s Parent School Association (PSA) partners closely with the school to create a sense of belonging for students and families.

The Executive Committee of the PSA has created a number of subcommittees to carry out the work of PSA and also aligns with the school’s guiding statements and strategic direction. These sub-committees include the following:

We believe in building a cohesive and engaged parent community at Stamford, that is conducive to the development of our students. We also recognize that it can also be a daunting time for parents who are new to our school community.
