REDEFINING LEARNING WITH INNOVATION
We’re excited to announce the West Kowloon Campus of Stamford American School Hong Kong, a three-story learning space designed to support our innovative High School program and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP).
This campus embodies a bespoke Stamford education with dedicated areas for music, drama, visual arts, sports, science, and design technology. It features an open auditorium, black box theatre, exhibition space, and a library—all in one place.
Designed to enhance students' university preparation, the campus promotes autonomy and independence through collaborative “learning neighborhoods,” open communal spaces with harbor views, a café, and spacious corridors for social interactions.
With flexible spaces for out-of-classroom learning, students and staff can take charge of their educational journeys. Welcome to a new era of learning! Click here to learn more.
Welcome to a new era of learning!
Stamford’s Class of 2025 embraced the exciting new chapter of university matriculation.
Our IB students achieved 100% pass rate, an average score of 35 points, well above the 2025 global average of 30.58. Very pleasingly, one student scored 44 points, one student scored 43 points, 14% scoring 40-44, and 33% scoring between 35 and 39 points. Altogether, 100 % of our cohort achieved the IB Diploma or IB Diploma Courses, and 24% earned the Bilingual Diploma.
At Stamford, students in grades 9 and 10 follow a US standards-based curriculum, while those in grades 11 and 12 choose pathways, including IB options, while accessing diverse subjects including Spanish and Chinese.
Stamford offers a unique STEMinn program (integrated STEM curriculum) that teaches the skills identified by the World Economic Forum as necessary for the jobs of tomorrow: analytical thinking, leadership, creative problem solving and emotional intelligence. Examples of STEMinn learning at high school.
We also offer an innovative program called Cornerstones. This is a hands-on learning approach, with 72 hours of industry experience and two portfolio projects, supported by small class sizes and personalized guidance from expert faculty.
All students also complete the Creativity, Activity, Service (CAS) program, engaging in experiential learning to ensure holistic growth and balance creativity, physical activity, and service to others.
We blend American and international curricula to create a versatile, future-ready education. American standards ensure subject-specific rigor and progression, while our IB Programme fosters deep thinking, knowledge and real-world problem-solving—preparing students to master content while navigating complex global challenges.
We use the best global evidence in our teaching. We challenge students to create, critically think, collaborate, and communicate – all skills noted in the research as the most important for successful student development.
