American Curriculum and Inquiry-Based Learning

Stamford fosters student growth with an American standards-based curriculum based on the rigorous and proven American Education Reaches Out (AERO) and Common Core Plus standards that develop a strong foundation in the core subjects such as language, art, math, humanities, and science. The international curriculum uses an inquiry-based approach across themes to nurture every child through a personalized instruction to foster curiosity and independent thinking. Our programs culminate with three diploma options, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP).

Elementary Curriculum

The elementary years at Stamford (Pre-primary to Grade 5) build a strong foundation of skills and academics through the IB Learner Profile and American standards-based curriculum. Building positive attitudes toward learning from a young age prepares our students to navigate the future challenges of middle school and high school.

Stamford American School Hong Kong is through-train IB World School that offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP). All graduates will receive the Stamford American US High School Diploma accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), which provides your child a passport to universities globally. Children can also pursue the full IBDP or select curated IB courses to broaden their horizons as over 5,000 universities accept the IBDP in 100 countries.
