Kim Ashman

Born, raised, and educated in Australia, Kim has been an EAL and a classroom teacher for close to 20 years in Japan, South Korea, Australia, and Hong Kong. Kim also has experience in middle-level leadership positions implementing and teaching transdisciplinary curriculums. Prior to joining Stamford, she taught at other international schools in Hong Kong.

Kim says, “Teaching is my passion, and a role I feel incredibly fortunate to have. What gives me the most pleasure is being able to provide a learning-rich environment, which is fun and engaging for students. Additionally, I relish the opportunity to get to know students and give them the opportunity to appropriately develop their individual strengths and flourish as lifelong learners. I believe that the classroom extends beyond four walls and should be inclusive and engaging. Education is an essential tool for the betterment of everyone!’
