External Scholarship Program

External Applications Open-Apply before Jan 15th

The Spirit of Stamford Scholarship Program recognizes outstanding secondary students who possess various talents and will make a positive contribution to the Stamford community.

This annual scholarship program celebrates accomplishments within our wider community. All non-Stamford students enrolled in Grades 9, 10, or 11 at any school (equivalent to S3 – S5 in local secondary school) who are applying to join Stamford American School are eligible to apply, and the scholarship awarded will be used to offset the student’s tuition fees in the next academic year.

Select students will have the opportunity to attend the entire International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) tuition-free.

Eligibility & Award Amount

The external scholarship program is available for non-Stamford students enrolled in Grades 9, 10, or 11 at any school (equivalent to S3 – S5 in local secondary school) who are applying to join Stamford American School in the next academic year in Grades 10, 11 or 12. A maximum scholarship of 100% of tuition fees may be awarded for the following academic year at Stamford American School, as well as for the remainder of the child’s academic life at Stamford (subject to renewal each academic year).

All awardees receive a certificate of recognition. All applicants benefit from the application and interview process, allowing them to reflect and present their talents.

Application opens from now until January 15, 2024. Interviews will occur in February 2024, and results will be announced in March 2024.

Decision

Scholarship decisions will consider the whole child, but selections will be based upon the overall quality of the candidate’s application, their unique skills and talents, supporting evidence, potential contribution to the school community, and interview performance.

Scholarships are awarded subject to the discretion of the school’s scholarship panel, which will determine the number and level of all awards.

Financial need, gender, and passport diversity are also considered to allow all students to access this opportunity. Parents are invited to submit an additional statement outlining any unique circumstances (financial, hardship, multiple siblings, etc.) that warrant special consideration for their child’s application.
