Jared is originally from Toronto, Canada, and before moving to Hong Kong, he spent eleven years teaching in South Korea, Vietnam, and China. He most recently spent five years in Shanghai as Grade 5 Team Leader and Head of Curriculum Development for Science and Social Studies. He has a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, along with a Masters in International Education. Jared is passionate about engaging students’ natural curiosity and developing a collaborative classroom environment.

Jared says, “I love making the classroom a fun and engaging place that allows students to explore the topics they are passionate about. I was fortunate enough to have teachers who did this for me while growing up, and I want to be able to do the same for my students here at Stamford American School. I also hope to help develop resilient and creative thinkers who look at the world with open minds.”
