As class availability is limited for the September 2018 - June 2019 academic year, we strongly encourage families to first check for availability of places for their child's grade before submitting an application. Please also note that only Pre-Primary to Grade 8 classes are offered for 2018/2019. Only Pre-Primary to Grade 9 classes will be offered for the 2019/2020 academic year. Stamford will introduce Grades 9 through 12 in the following academic year(s).
For overseas applicants: If a face-to-face assessment is not possible, we may arrange an online assessment via Skype. Overseas applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
All other applicants: All other applicants are required to take an assessment as part of our admissions process. The assessment is designed to be as relaxed as possible and offers an opportunity for us to meet your child, get to know them better as well as answer any questions they may have about life as a Stamford student. The WIDA (World-class Instructional Design and Assessment) and/or a Math Baseline assessment is used. The assessment focus is on English language proficiency.
Individual 1-to-1 assessments are conducted for our Pre-Primary and Grade 1s in small groups with trained assessors and teachers. For Grade 2 and above, all assessments are conducted on a 1-to-1 basis. All our assessment activities are age-appropriate. Please note that there is no preparation required. Our team will also be on hand to encourage and support the child through the assessment. During the assessment, parents may meet with a member of our Admissions Team if they have questions.
